Dony was born on September 17, 1882 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He would have moved to France with his family before World War II. He was a company director and a Jew, which earned him and his family's arrest at the end of 1943, when he was 61 years old. His last address seems to be 18 rue Édouard Delanglade in Marseille. He will be interned at Drancy under number 8033 then deported on December 7, 1943 to Auschwitz. The date of his death is unfortunately not known, but we know that he did not return alive from the camps. He probably died on the trains or on his arrival in Auschwitz, during the selection of workers.
